... I haven't disappeared. Not completely, anyway...
I've been sucked in - obviously I worked this weekend, but every other spare minute went to reading Harry Potter. I'm on the 7th book now, and I've read about 400 pages today. I'm going to try to finish the book tonight so I can actually get some stuff done tomorrow (and the next several days, actually...)
So, my sincere apologies for deserting you all for my beloved (yet fictional) Harry, Ron, and Hermione (and I should make some apologies to the hubs for this same reason...)
I'll be back soon :)
And now ... I've got about 200 more pages to go. In the words of the great Albus Dumbledore...
"And now [Harry], let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure."
Since I'm somewhat of a weakling myself, I'll just enjoy while Harry, et. al. do it for me :)

Delving into the Magical World of Harry Potter...
... for like, the 4th time. (Or so.)
Yep, you read right. I may or may not be bordering on obsession.
I've read the entire series through at least 3 times. I can't tell you how many times I've read each individual book. At this point I honestly don't really remember. I just know that I love it. Oh, how I love it. The first book was released in the US in 1998. I read it in 1999, when I was a freshman in high school. And I've grown up with Harry and Ron and Hermoine et. al. ever since. It is a deep, deep passionate love affair. At 25, I embrace my love affair with Harry Potter. I am not embarrassed. I am proud. I want to read the books again.
And so, if you're wondering where I am for the next several weeks...

...I'll be hanging out with them.

what a lovely day :)
After a really crazy, insane, horrible day at work yesterday, today has been exactly what I've wanted.
I woke up with the sun, but stayed in bed until 9:30 reading The Lord of the Ring, which may make me a nerd, but I don't care. Then I got up and ate some toast. Then Mark got up and cleaned the kitchen. And what did I do the rest of the day? I scrapbooked. With a few interruptions, for laundry, and some chips and salsa. The sun was out (most of the day) and Mark had the windows open, and a nice breeze of fresh air came through the house, and life was good. (But now it's cold, and Mark is gone, so I'm shutting them.)
And on the agenda for tonight? Andy and Suzie are coming over, and we're making pizzas and having drinks and watching a movie, and it will be grand. Which is a good way for a day to end, I think.
