Fill-in-the-Blank Friday!

It's been about ten gazillion years since I've done a Fill-in-the-Blank Friday - I think it's high time I resumed that little weekly tradition. As always, from the lovely Lauren...

1.   I am       so in love with my puppy, and her sweet little beagle ears. I LOVE her ears!!!  .

2.  I wish   that people would get along. Why can't people just love each other? I want everybody to be happy, and be friends, or at least civil... .

3.  I like       being with Mark, autumn, my family, sweet things, baking, corduroys, flats, my iPhone, traveling, vegetables, and Mary Kay Satin Hands, just to name a few things :)     .

4.  I can   do all things through Christ, who strengthens me  .

5.  I hope     my butternut squash and caramelized onion galette that I'm making for dinner turns out as wonderfully delicious as it sounds...  .

6.  I think         too much, sometimes   .

7.  I was        SO excited to find a Starbucks giftcard in the letter my mom sent the other day - my mom is awesome :)    .

And now, my to-do list for today:
-Play with Luna.
-Do laundry while Luna naps.
-Play with Luna.
-Pack for next week's travels while Luna naps.
-Play with Luna.
-Make galette dough while Luna naps.
-Pawn Luna off on Mark when he gets home, and go run some errands.
-Play with Luna.
-Make galette for dinner.

This is pretty much what most of my days look like. That baby girl takes up lots of time.

But oh, I love her so.

photo update :)

Just a few pictures to update with...

My baby car, the Jetta

And her back end...

I love this car!!!!

And now, an Emma update....

She's growing like a little weed. This video is actually from a little while back, when Mark and I were babysitting (puppysitting?) She's a fair bit bigger than this now, but it's a really cute video all the same. Despite the fact that I sound like an idiot on camera. (I don't know anybody who actually likes the sound of their voice on video/recording/whatever. It's weird. It doesn't sound like me.)

Mark got in the puppy bed and tried to be a puppy too. He's a bit large, don't you think?

Sweetest face on earth. She is so precious... even if she does pee on the floor sometimes :)

In other news unrelated to pictures - today was a good day :) Got the rest of the house cleaned up and made scones in time for Hannah to come. We had scones and tea and a lovely little catch-up time, and it was good. (I ate too many scones though, and now my tummy isn't so happy...) On Friday morning, we're off to see the fam in Chattanooga. The weekend will be packed, with Mark's bday stuff on Friday evening, then more time with my family (and maybe cassie?) on Saturday, and then Sunday we'll be hanging out with Sarah and Thomas (YAY!!). We'll leave that evening, come home, and Lissa will be coming over Sunday night around 10:30. She'll be here with us through Thursday, then it's Mark's birthday dinner with just us on Thursday night. Friday I work, and then Saturday Mark's family is coming here, and we'll have more cake :) Really busy week - but so good, with all the friends and family we'll get to see. It warms my soul just to think about :) I'm so excited! Just have to get through tomorrow....

PUPPY!!!!!

Last night, Mark and I (and Chip, Suzie's brother) helped Andy and her move into their new apartment - right across the street from us! Suzie didn't get back from Gulf Port until about 10pm, so you can imagine that we were sort of glad that they don't have quite as much stuff as we do :) She also brought their puppy home - her name is Emma Caroline, and she is the cutest thing to walk the earth.

See?

She's itty bitty - maybe 3-ish pounds? And she has this huge personality, and she's so playful and loves to run and scamper all over the place, and she also loves to cuddle in your lap :) We're her godparents, and we get babysitting rights today while Andy and Suzie go to Chattanooga to get furniture from my parents' house.

It's been a crazy week - rain, rain, rain has just compounded everything. Running is going pretty well, but we've had to skip several days due to the nasty weather. In the last week, I've done some work stuff, run four days, had my car break, got it fixed, looking for a new one, cooked, cleaned, did loads of laundry, moved Andy and Suzie in - it's been super busy. But I like it that way :)

Since when do I get up this early?

Good morning, all! Yes, I am indeed posting before 7AM, and yes, this is new for me :) Third day in a row that I've gotten up and gotten ready at 6:00 in the morning - when I'm normally praying for dayshift to hurry along and get to the unit (shout out to my nightshift people! Hi Casey and Brandy!)

I must say, it is really nice to feel like a normal person again. I don't see how 8-5 desk job people do it week in, week out, but I do think I'll enjoy being on dayshift. We've skipped running two days now because of general tiredness and Mark had a headache, and rain, but the plan is to start back up this afternoon after I get off, which hopefully will work out as planned.

Andy starts his job today, and they'll move into their apartment in a couple weeks. And as a surprise, Suzie's sister bought them a puppy!!!! She is ADORABLE - she's a King Charles spaniel and looks a bit like this:

She's staying at Suzie's mom's house for the time being, but will move into their place when they do :) SO PRECIOUS!!!!

Alright ... time to head for work, bright and early in the morning - hope everybody has a great day!
